My Story

     I am 57 years old and, started a career in the Canadian Armed Forces, as a Reservist, with the 10 Field 64 Bat Artillery.  https://www.facebook.com/groups/19824489000. Served 5 Yrs. Within that time, I was Driver, Vehicle Tech, along with Artilleryman, firing mostly the 105 howitzer.

     My civilian work career, started in 1986 with Power Utility company for 5 years, then continued the next 32 Years, with a local Gas Utility Company, as a Gas Journeyman Pipe Fitter, 1993 to the present day, I enjoyed. working on computers, when, I, moved to a small community to continue working as a pipefitter, with the same company. I then, opened a small computer shop in 1999 to 2003.

     I received my Amateur Radio License, on Feb. 13th, 1996, with basic + and that spring, received my Advanced License. I joined a local club, and began, learning the hobby, which I enjoyed. I moved to Canora, Saskatchewan in 1997 and realized that we had some work to do. Our local repeater was at it’s end of life span, and in 2000 a small group of local area ham operators, got together to form a club, and expand radio communication in the area, and around the world.  We currently have 5 VHF Repeaters, and 1 UHF Repeater. UHF Linked, with IRLP & EchoLink. I help maintain, the PARC Repeater System and the Saskatchewan Reflector 9300 where we get together on a daily basis, and below is our club link. http://nonprofits.accesscomm.ca/parc/

I have 3 awesome children, all grown up and on their own, 4 Grand Children, that I enjoy spending time with. I especially love celebrating the holidays, the big meals, and visiting with family and friends.

I enjoy fishing, camping, quadding, hunting, along with my amateur radio hobby.
